The Xmas Palm, also known as the Christmas Palm (Adonidia merrillii) or Manila Palm, is a compact and elegant tropical palm celebrated for its graceful arching fronds and vibrant clusters of bright red fruits that ripen around the holiday season—giving it its festive name. It features a slender, smooth gray trunk topped with a crown of glossy green, feathery leaves that create a neat, symmetrical silhouette. Care Instructions:

• Light: Full sun to partial shade. It thrives with at least 6 hours of bright light daily and performs best in direct sun for a tighter, healthier canopy.
• Water: Keep the soil consistently moist during the first few months while establishing roots. Once established, allow the top 2–3 inches of soil to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.
• Soil: Well-draining, sandy or loamy potting mix is ideal. Good drainage is essential for healthy growth.
• Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity. Mist the fronds occasionally if grown indoors in dry air.
• Temperature: Loves warm conditions (65–85°F / 18–29°C). It is not cold-hardy and should be protected from temperatures below 50–55°F (10–13°C) or frost. Ideal for USDA zones 10–11; bring indoors in cooler climates.
• Maintenance: Low-maintenance and self-cleaning (old fronds drop naturally). Remove any yellow fronds as needed. Fertilize every 3–4 months during the growing season with a balanced palm fertilizer for strong growth and fruit production.
